Flutter & Wow Museum Projects researches, designs, and implements top quality exhibition projects for museums, galleries, commercial, municipal and private clients.
Designer, artist, teacher and writer, Jason Jay Stevens, founded Flutter & Wow in 2011 to focus on interpretation and design; take on challenging topics in history, science and art; and turn them into meaningful experiences for everyone. We’ve been doing a lot of great stuff together ever since.
Our projects widen institutional impact, strengthen communities, and sustainably serve a client’s mission. We’ve produced big, complicated art exhibitions involving artists from around the world. We’ve gutted history museums and brought them back to life with stories that resonate with the full gamut of their communities. We’ve helped visitors explore the physics of spacetime, and we’ve given them controls to adjust the factors that produce different kinds of weather. We always aim to provoke and engage, but more than anything, unite the human family.

Accessibility in Exhibition
While Flutter & Wow’s exhibit projects always strive to adhere to ADA standards with regards to the physical environment — carefully considering the height of exhibit panels on walls, the spacing between exhibit elements, and the usability of tactile and movable elements — we design our exhibits to be accessible in many other ways as well, ensuring access for visitors of all ages, learning styles, languages, and reading levels.
Many of our interactives are intuitive, requiring little to no reading to figure out how to engage with them, much of our text is simplified yet impactful, and strategic visual and audio elements allow all visitors to gain something of value from our diverse exhibitry.
